SCSU Recruit Update

Here’s a quick update on SCSU mens hockey recruits / commits:

  • Cole Guttman– 5′ 10″ 160 right-handed forward from  Northridge, CA is currently playing for the Dubuque Fighting Saints of the USHL. He had been out of the lineup due to illness and  just recently returned to the Saints lineup. He hit the ice in full stride with one goal and three assists for four points in two games. Guttman will join the Huskies either for the 2017-18 or 2018-19 season.
  • Blake Lizotte – 5’8″ 170 center from Lindstrom, MN for the Fargo Force of the USHL. One of this years top offensive players to start the season, Lizotte has 11 points in 9 games (1-10-11). He is currently fifth in scoring in the USHL. Lizotte will join the Huskies in 2017-18.
  • Easton Brodzinski – 6′ 1″ 190 right-handed forward from Blaine, MN was just traded by the Fargo Force to the Madison Capitals of the USHL. Brodzinski is the son of former SCSU player Mike Brodzinski and brother to recent player Jonny Brodzinski currently in the LA Kings organization. Brodzinski had no points in 8 games for the Force. This was a slow start for Brodzinski who had 32 goals and 34 assists for 66 points in 54 games for Penticton of the BCHL in 2015-16. Plans are for Brodzinski to join the Huskies for the 2017-18 season.
  • Micah Miller – 5’9″ 190 right-handed forward  currently with the Sioux City Musketeers of the USHL. In 9 games Miller has 1 goal and 3 assists for 4 points. Miller will return to Grand Rapids, MN H.S. for his senior season. Miller could join the Huskies in 2018-19.
  • Brendan Bushy – 6’2″ 210 Defenseman currently with Dubuque of the USHL. A stallwart at defense, Bushy has 1 assist in 9 games for the Saints. Bushy will most likely join the Huskies in the 2018-19 season.
  • Christoffer Karlsen –  5-7″ 175 forward currently with the Tri-City storm of the USHL. Karlsen was one of the top forwards in the Tri-city camp. He has yet to play in a game due to injury but should return to action in the next week or so. Karlsen is another player that could join the Huskies in 2017-18 or 2018-19.
  • Nolan Walker –  5’10” 165 center compiled 30 goals and 45 assists for the Culver Military Academy in 2015-16. Walker will return to Culver for the 2016-17 season and then play a season in the USHL before joining the Huskies.
  • Nick Perbix – 6’3″ 185 defense for Elk River (MN) H.S. Perbix will return to Elk River High School for his senior year and then put in some time in the USHL before joining the Huskies.
  • Henry Enebak – 5′ 11″ right-handed forward  for the Lakeville North H.S. (MN) Panthers. Enebak will return to the Panthers for his senior season and then play some junior hockey before joining SCSU.
  • Bryce Brodzinski – 6′ 170 forward for the Blaine Bengals H.S. (MN). Bryce is the son of former player Mike Brodzinski and brother to Jonny Brodzinski and current recruit Easton Boidzinski. An early commit, Brodzinski has several years of high school hockey ahead of him.
  • Garrett Pioniemi – 5’7″ 130 forward for Delano (MN) High School. Pionemi is an early commit that also has several years of high school hockey ahead of him.
